Food, Music & Friends

11th July

Went to Sunday Folks with Jev and Joyee! I chose Strawberry but Jev's Earl Grey was amazing??? I'll choose that the next time I go! It was really nice catching up with the 2 girls and we all miss having ballet classes together ): Those were some good times...

16th July

Went to watch Disney on Classics with my dad at Star Vista. The concert showcased (quote) "the most beloved tunes from the famed Walt Disney Studios songbook, performed by 8 international singers and Singapore's very own Metropolitan Festival Orchestra under the baton of legendary Disney music maestro, Brad Kelley".

For those lazy to read the programme note below, the concert featured music from Snow White, Cinderella, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Little Mermaid (my favourite!), Tangled and Frozen.

It was absolutely magical and I was immediately transported back to my childhood. I swear, one will never be too old for Disney. As I sat listening to the songs, I realised that I could relate even more to the lyrics now that I'm 19. Disney's songs are so well thought out, have good morals and life lessons. I was so taken aback by how much the lyrics hit my heart and there were so many moments during the concert where I nearly spilled tears.

It was a wonderful, unforgettable experience.

20th July

Went on an Acai date with my lovely girl and caught up on so many things.

We dug through so many topics of conversation and realised we could relate to each other more than we thought, which is always a pleasant surprise. (: I love you girl.

23rd July

Another date with another beautiful being.

Met up for dinner at Star Vista, had a hilarious encounter at Marble Slab and talked till our mouths were dried out.

We became even closer after that night from reasons only the two of us will know. My love for her is eternal (':

Minnie Came To Visit

A week ago, Minnie came to stay with me for a couple of days and I tried to bring her to as many tourist-y places as possible and to get her to eat as much good food as humanly possible.

She gave me this.. umm.. car plate like thingy which I absolutely love. Isn't it cool?!?!?! (^)

So, obviously, I brought her to Sentosa - the number one tourist-y thing to do.

We went to Underwater World and saw many... interesting creatures.

They. Are. So. Weird. And. Gross. (^)

This seahorse looked so sad ):

What on earth... I'm sure this is it's natural body structure but it looked like it had an accident. (^)

This is a freaking unicorn-fish?!?!?!?!?! Look at it's horn (^)

Transparent jellyfishes are very cool indeed.

Cute sea otters! BUT!!! They were stuck in this tiny square shaped box with only a tiny paddling pool to swim in ): I felt so sorry for them and disgusted at how they were being treated. Give them a bigger living space for goodness sake!!!!

Dolphins!!!!!!

Sea lions!!!!!!

We went to Slappy Cakes for lunch/ tea. I looooooove pancakes. And I love it even more when I can make/ shape them myself!!!

Only my last pancake was of a perfect golden brown!!! ): But all my pancakes tasted deeeeelicious (: I opted for buttermilk batter + ham + cheese + chocolate chips + whipped cream. So I had a good balance of savoury and sweet. Yummmmmz.

We went to watch the Minions movie too!! I really enjoyed it actually. It was so funny and so many awwww moments. I recommend it if you're as into kids films as I am.

Honeymoon Dessert was our next stop. I. Love. This. Cafe. So. Much. I would eat there all day if I could. Literally foodgasm.

Gardens By The Bay!!!

iPhone 6's camera does a good job of capturing pretty flowers. So if you like flowers like I do, I'd like to show off my average photography skills.

Just imitating a few statues... (^)

Someone was a little grumpy...

This reminds me very strongly of The Hunger Games!!! If you can't see why then... You must be living under a rock.

Look at those details?!?!?!?! (^)

I think Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall into this lovely bush of flowers and the bush was never the same ever since. (^)

I loveeee the colours of this one (^)

This was Humpty Dumpty before it crashed into the bush of flowers I showed you earlier on.

Hehehe I love this photo (^)

We proceeded to watch the lights show at the.. umm.. tree thingy area! It. Was. Beautiful. Absolutely amazing.

Walked all the way to Marina Bay Sands to have dinner and their Chicken Laksa was. Mmmm.

We met up with Miss Kwee the next day for lunch!!! It was really really good to talk to her and we found out a lot of inside information about the school hehehehe.

I made her try llao llao and she really enjoyed it (: hehehehe

Hey Min, thank you for the couple of days that you spent with me and thank you for all the chats and heart to hearts and just for being lovely. Have a great rest of the Summer and I'll see you back in UK!!!
