Consecutively Happy

Yesterday, I took a trip down to Sentosa. It had been ages since I had last been there. It was an extremely hot day but so very beautiful.

First stop was USS. We didn't go in because firstly and most importantly, I didn't have the money. So we wandered around the shops located outside the USS entry gates instead.

I wish I could have brought it back with me (^) !!!

After a satisfying lunch at Din Tai Fung, we proceeded to the beach

*let's go to the beach, each, let's go get away*

We felt like we actually did get away though. The 2 of us sat under the shade staring out into the sea for ages and ages, just talking about anything and everything. It was very relaxing and calming, especially since not many people were at the beach. Perks of not being in school anymore!

When I returned home, I was definitely sun burnt. I also felt a little ill. I can't deal with the Sun as well as I used to anymore, after having been in England for so long. I was suffering a little from heatstroke but some pills and a small nap made everything better.  However, I have rather bad tan lines!!! I rarely ever have tan lines so I was rather shocked haha.

I really enjoyed spending time with this one (^) especially the second half of our day. Thank you for understanding, respecting, accepting me. I am really really really thanking you with all my heart and soul.

In 10 years time, I want to be thanking you again. And I genuinely honestly sincerely hope I will be.

You'll know what I mean.

Today, I went to Wednesday Cafe for the first time!

The layout of the cafe was really cute and cosy. They had boardgames, books, magazines and even an Ukulele (I was SO tempted to pick it up).

Their selection of cakes looked really yummy as well.

In the end, we decided to go with Pictionary, cookies and cream cake, mudpie and pink lemonade.

However, halfway through the game we gave up because we barely knew the rules and it became really boring and frustrating. So we switched to Checkers! Ping won ): Hahaha.

The cafe also had a stall that sold uniquely flavoured ice cream rolls! We chose Nutella and it was deeeeelicious (:

This corner was what we assumed a photo-taking corner? They had many... What are they called... Photobooth accessories thingabobs on the side table for you to take photos with! And obviously I chose the rainbow one...

Did I forget to mention that they also have 3 cats roaming around the cafe? They were so cute and friendly and just freaking adorable I wanted to bring them home with me.

It was such a good 2 hours spent with this girly and oh goodness knows what I'll do without her. Thank you Ping for a lovely afternoon, I love you ever so much.

Love Wins

In case you haven't heard or just simply live under a rock, on the 26th of June, two days ago, the U.S. Supreme Court made history in America by legalising same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

When I heard, I was beyond overjoyed for all the Americans. Many have fought and waited so long for this moment.

The children living in America from here on will never have to worry about this issue. They will never know the difference. And that's just so great.

Majority of the whole world broke out in rainbows in order to show their support over the legalisation and it. Was. Something.

June is also LGBTQ++ Pride Month, honouring the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan. And YouTube made this video which made me feel so many things all at once. Have a watch.

*YouTubers who appear in it, awww (':

Anyway, I feel so happy for the Americans but there are still so many countries struggling with even the basics of LGBTQ++, my home country very much included. It's going to be a long long long while for us... But we must keep faith and keep fighting for what's right. Meanwhile, let's just soak in America's happiness.

*happy dance*

(p.s. this GIF is actually an exact scene from Taylor Swift's Shake It Off music video except they replaced humans with dancing skeletons. How funny.)

All in all,
