2012

So... it's New Year's Eve.

It's the day where people take time to think about the year, about what they've been through, regardless good or bad. And I, too, will do the same.

...

Two thousand and twelve. The year that I turned 16.

Being 16 does actually feel a lot more different than being 15. Because you've been through a whole year lot more of things.

The biggest goal for me this year, was to get into PHC.

And the biggest achievement for me this year, was that I've gotten into PHC.

Thinking back, how hard I studied, how I was juggling with both school exams and IGCSEs... It was really tough. I pulled myself to greater heights that I had never known I could reach to before. And the feeling, when I received my IGCSE results...

It was...

So worth it!

It was the first time that I've put so much into something and the results turned out the way I had hoped for. No, even better than what I had expected.

It was just so nice. Yes, nice. To finally feel like a champion after all these years of feeling like a failure...

So that, for me, was pretty much the Number One highlight of my year.

Number Two was obviously Speech Day. Dancing our very last official dance together as a batch, as '96, as the NHDS graduates of 2012.

Our dance was just brilliant. Simply brilliant. We were full on emotional as well. Saying we'll miss each other but hey, we're still spending so much time together.

Number Three - the class outing and 'Farewell' Party with 401. I was just so genuinely surprised about how much everyone cared and the effort they put into making my last few days with them so memorable.

Our day out at Botanic Gardens was definitely the best class outing I've attended with them so far. Words can't describe how much fun the balloon game was. I literally had a blast. Get it? Balloons. Burst. Blast. Me. Fun. Okay.

Andddd of course the magnificent scrapbook that they made for me, the cards that everyone gave me. Plus the teachers saying "speeches" and even given me a card and present. I was so super duper surprised and touched. I swear they are the most caring, thoughtful and best NH teachers I've ever had.

Especially Miss Kee.

Words can't describe my gratitude towards her. She was there for me so much during the whole UK thing. She taught me for 4 years, known me even better through Dance, and then was my mentor.

When I went back to NH the other day, I really wanted to see her. But sadly she wasn't in school and I guess I have to wait till March...

Thank you Miss Kee, for everything.

Number Four - the recent Christmas Party + Sleepover that I had with my '96 girls. The word 'fun' can't even describe how much I enjoyed the two days with them. They are my best friends.♥♥♥

Number Five - the day out at Changi with... the same bunch up there ^ I remember how much we laughed in Swensens about our 'Dream House'. I could feel my abs developing.

Number Six - the 'CNY' Class BBQ at my house with 401. That was really fun as well. Playing hide and seek, Cling Cling and then sitting in a circle just chatting, under the starry night sky ♡

That was when I thought our class isn't that bad after all, and really starting to love 401.

Number Seven - all those times spent with my ballet babes; celebrating each other's birthdays, going to Esplanade to watch ballets, our weekly trip to Redmango before ballet class, gushing over Nadia and Ms Xia, being ever so sad about Ms Xia leaving NAFA. I love my darlings, really. 5 different girls but yet so similar. Ballet; the passion that brought us together (': ♥

Number Eight - getting a freaking Distinction for my RAD Intermediate Foundation Exam. I was speechless honestly, when I received my results. Before that I was hoping to get at least a high Merit. But a Distinction! Wowza.

Never did I ever expect it. But, of course, I was well happy about it. :D

Number Nine - Spending so much time with my godbrothers over at the UK and knowing that they miss me when I'm not there. It just makes my heart swell up with joy to know that I mean something to those three boys. (':

It's actually just me who call them my godbrothers. They don't even call me their godsister. They just refer me as their friend. But hey, if their mother's my godmother, then shouldn't they be my godbrothers? Logic, isn't it.

Number Ten - Falling in love with Cheryl Cole, being obsessed with Girls Aloud, getting Girls Aloud Ten, owning Cheryl Cole: My Story and buying GA's 2013 tour tickets.

I can just go on and on and on and on about how perfect and flawless Cheryl Cole is, and then continue to go on and on and on and on about how much I love Girls Aloud. Hahahahaha.

I want to meet them all so badly ):

So those were my top ten highlights of 2012. They are not in order. They are in my top ten because they just pop into my mind as I'm typing. Having them self-automatically surface at the edge of my brain just shows their importance in my life this year. So... yeap. Top Ten Highlights of my 2012.

But then, 2012 also has taught me so many things. I've became a stronger person. I'm a lot more independent. I learnt to become more cautious with people. I've learnt how fragile Trust is. Generally, I've just learnt a lot as a person.

I really do feel as if I've matured. My way of thinking is different from the past.

But then, I'm still learning.

I'm just thankful for all those people who have been there for me, who were there, who are still here, and who were never there, because they were the ones that moulded me into the stronger, better person that I am now.

Thank you, to those that were a part of me this year. Many faces flash pass in my mind and deep down, I genuinely, sincerely want to thank each and every one of those faces. You all played a role. If one of you were missing, I probably might be dead by now. Hey, you never know. Everyone makes a difference and everyone is important.

But I just want to give a shout out to two girls. I've grown a lot closer to these two this year, and I'm really glad that I got to know them better. The two of you hold a special place in my heart. Forever and always.

2013, you're not that far away now.

I hope I'll achieve many more things in the coming year and enjoy life. Take things step by step and always look before I jump.

I am so so so SO grateful for all the things that has happened to me. Really. Very grateful for everything. I'm such a lucky girl and there's no need for me to wish for more.

I will grow even more as a person and see where nature takes me.

Goodbye 2012.

Merry Christmas

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! And a belated Merry Christmas!

Last Thursday I went to visit our very own Singapore Pandas! Soooooo cute. I want a baby panda as a pet.

And everything there was Pandafied. They had Panda Bao and Panda Coffee.

I haven't been to the Zoo for the longest time ever and it was more fun than I expected it to be. Got to drink my AWESOME Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake when we left the zoo.

On Fridayyyy, I WENT BACK TO NAN HUA!!! I was really excited and happy.

Dance was having combined practice and we poked our noses left right a little. But i reallyyyyy had to choreograph my AS Dance so Ping, Jiamin and I just camped in the studio later on. And with the help of my girls, I managed to finish choreographing 1/3 of my dance. So happy. THANK YOU MY LOVELIES. I LOVE Y'ALL♡

After dance ended we all walked back to my house for Christmas dinner. Such good exercise except my feet were absolutely rotten by the time we arrived back home. I was so tired as well, from all the dancing previously.

Played The Game of Life after dinner!

AND THEN WE WENT DOWNSTAIRS TO PLAY WITH SPARKLERS!

Hey ho my infinity sign. Ignore my face.

dance♡

How cool was that ^^

And then, we proceeded on to spam photos, like how we always do.

We ate Hazelnut Ice Cream Log Cake while watching The Santa Clause. Hee :P Everyone started falling asleep except me and Ping! We continued watching Santa Clause 2 and 3 till 5 am in the morning. We were the survivors of the night! Some girls woke up and we continued to watch Home Alone! But alas, I fell asleep at 6am.

And woke up 2 hours later.

So we re-watched Home Alone...

And played Saboteur! It was so much fun. We were all so crazy and so into it. Ahaha.

Pizza for lunch and a few of them left while the 5 of us watch funny babies and cats videos on Youtube. Don't judge.

Qi, Jiamin and I watched Passions of Girls Aloud and GHOST HUNTING with Girls Aloud :D

Jiamin stayed over for a second night (:

It was the first time I had ever had such a big group of people sleeping over at my house but it was so much fun and I'm glad everyone enjoyed themselves (:

What a wonderful way to spend my last few days in SG.

I really love my girls to Pluto and back.

Thank You

I am thankful for having friends who are there for me while I endlessly go on and on ranting, complaining about the same old things.

Thanks for never giving up on me (:

I'm Home

HELLOOOOOOOO.

I'm finally back to update!

So on the second last day of term, PHC had a Christmas party. The theme this year was Music Genre so each year had to dress up as their respective genres. Sixth Form was Glam Rock! We weren't very impressive, I'm afraid. Honestly, Glam Rock was so difficult ): I don't even exactly know what Glam Rock is. Anyway, a lot of us painted our faces and so did I. I got a rainbow and a pink heart. SUPER Glam Rock... Haha.

Amber was the most Glam Rock out of all of us so... SHE WON! For our category.

We had a Christmas lunch followed by the Teachers' Panto! It was hilarious and let's say all of us got a little wet and some, more so than the others.

Later on we played games like Charades, Limbo ( is that what it's called? ), Pass The Parcel, Pin The Nose On Rudolph, Truth or Dare, and Music Quiz! In the Music Quiz, there was a question "Who released the album titled 'Fearless' in 2009?" and I was like "TAYLOR SWIFT! TAYLOR SWIFT! TAYLOR SWIFT!" Ahaha. And another one "What band is Cheryl Cole from?" and I was like "GIRLS ALOUD! GIRLS ALOUD! GIRLS ALOUD!" I know my favourite artists well (;

//

House Dance was on the last day of term. Minnie and I danced a duet. We didn't win but I didn't really mind because there were other people who's dances were just brilliant.

Hugged everyone goodbye after the winners were announced then headed back to Dower to prepare to leave for Heathrow!

Flying on my own was actually alright. I quite enjoy it because I could do whatever I liked. Plus the elderly couple sitting next to me were really nice so that was comforting.

//

Landing back in SG felt so.... surreal yet normal?

My girls were there to welcome me home with sign boards!!!! Was really touched (':

We went to Swensens to eat ICE CREAM! Chatted just like usual (: It felt so normal. Nothing changed, which is really good.

Hung around the airport after that.

Really happy that they were there to welcome me home. Love them to bits and pieces ♥♥♥

//

The next day, 401 had a class outing to Sentosa! But it was raining heavily so we changed to... The Mind's Cafe at Dhoby. Played board games and stuff. Had a good amount of fun. It was really nice seeing everyone again though it was only like one-quarter of the class.

Nat stayed over and we went to MBS with dancers the next day!

Ate lunch at toast box and then went to Cold Rock!

Went outside to take pictures and polaroids afterwards and it was SO HOT! But look at all our lovely photos (:

We camped at the top of MBS to cool down and played The Game of Life! Never played it before and found it quite fun.

Some of the girls left including this little girl and I WON'T SEE HER TILL MARCH 2013!!! We only saw each other for 3 days and now we're separated again. Sigh. Miss her but I know she's having fun in China & Japan with her family (:

//

OH. AND I CHOPPED OFF ABOUT 5 INCHES OF MY HAIR.

But hair grows so... I'll get my long hair again! Like... 6 months later or something.

//

Met up with my ballet babes on Wednesday. We went to Redmango (just like old times) and then to Strictly Pancakes! It was soooooo good but we couldn't finish it. SO FILLING!

It was awesome seeing my girls again though I was gutted we couldn't find a time to see Ms Xia! I might see Jev in England though! Love them so much♥♥♥

//

On Thursday, I went to Gardens by The Bay with my parents. Loved the Christmas decorations at the Flower Dome!

We had steamboat lunch at Takashimaya and shopped till I was gonna drop. Good day out with my parents (:

//

Last night! I went to support my girls at PA for their AHA performance.

Gosh, I am SOOOOOO PROUD OF THEM. They danced so beautifully and the feeling watching them perform is just. Indescribable. REALLY PROUD OF MY DARLINGS ^^

Okay. That should do.

I have like one and a half weeks left in Singapore. Sigh.

Till next time. Byebye.
